  FERRUCCIO CRESPI (ITALIAN 1861-1891)  
 
The bronze we have by Ferruccio Crespi shows the unmistakable hand of the master ( Paul Troubetskoy )(Russian: Павел Петрович Трубецкой, Pavel Petrovich Trubetskoy; Intra, Italy, 15 February 1866 — Pallanza, 12 February 1938) and both artists lived with in a mile or two  of each other  Troubetskoy was undoubtedly a frequent visitor to the  Crespi Villa. Paul Troubetskoy  became so famous that a Museum devoted to his works is situated on Via Troubetskoy very close to Villa Crespi. The Savoian Lancer " La Vedetta is Ferrucchio Crespi's most acclaimed sculpture.
