  MARY DURASOVA-KOPFOVA (MARY DURAS) (AUSTRIAN 1898- 1982)  
 
Mary Duras was born in Vienna in 1898 and died 1982 in Graz (Austria). She lived and worked mainly in Prague (Czechoslovakia). However during World War II (1939-1945) she lived  in London, Then after her flight from the CSSR (the harsh anti-Semitism communist government in power from 1963-1974) she lived in Hamburg (Germany). After the death of her husband (Arnold Schück) she lived in Graz.  In all her lists of works this sculpture is called “Two Girls II” It was her work number 67, completed in1932.
