Hans Friedrich WACHA was a prize winner for his paintings exhibited in 1910 in Rome.
The title of the painting exhibited here is "JUPITER and IO", painted before 1914. Hans Freiedrich Wacha received the order by the Austrian government to work for them as war correspondent between 1914-1918. So a number of paintings of the "Isonzo-front"(Italy) are registered at Heeresmuseum Wien. Hans Friedrich Wacha had to flee from the Russian Military at the end of 2nd World War and left many of his paintings behind in 1945.
He lived with his family in 1946 in Salzburg/Austria approximately one year before he moved to West Germany. He started a new studio and school in Neuburg an der Donau/Bavaria before he moved to his son`s family near Frankfurt. Most of his paintings were not created with the intention of selling, but wre intended to be kept for his personal collection.
